– APRIL 3, 2009 WASHINGTON, D.C., OUR NATION’S CAPITOL
AND CHERRY BLOSSOM
Our first stop will be Charlottesville, VA where we
will tour Monticello, the Home of President Thomas
Jefferson and have lunch at Historic Michie’s Tavern.
We will have a great time in Washington as we
combine the beauty of the blossoming of the Yoshino Cherry
Trees, and the history of our Nation’s Capitol.
In Washington, we will have a step on guide for a
tour of Capitol Hill, Arlington Cemetery and the Changing
of the Guard, Embassy Row, FDR Memorial, the World War II
Memorial, and Ford’s Theatre.
We will also tour Mt. Vernon, the Home of President
George and Martha Washington.
Our tour will also include Vietnam, Iwo Jima,
Korean, Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, and the National
Archives. A
self-guided tour of the Smithsonian Institute is included.
Two continental breakfast meals included.
